In order to assess the students' grasp of the Chinese language, encourage and enhance their interest and enthusiasm for learning, the school holds an academic competition every school year after winter vacation. The competition's content is arranged according to the learning levels of each grade: recitation of children's songs, recognizing characters and phrases, Chinese pinyin, pencil calligraphy, dictionary usage, forming words from recognized characters, and reading comprehension. Apart from the Chinese knowledge competition, students can also sign up for age-grouped recitation and painting competitions. Those who excel in the competition will receive rewards during the Chinese New Year celebration.
