Academic Contest

After winter vacation, Yellow River Chinese School holds the yearly Academic Contest. The students take part in several competitions: in grade-based Chinese knowledge, Chinese writing, dictionary usage, pencil calligraphy, Chinese pinyin, and children's nursery rhyme recitation. Students also have the option to sign up for age-grouped reading and drawing competitions. The winners of the competitions will be rewarded during the Spring Festival celebration.

在寒假之后举行的学术竞赛除了按年级举办的中文知识、中文写作、查字典、铅笔书法、汉语拼音、儿歌朗读以外，同学们还报名参加按年龄段分组的朗读和绘画比赛。比赛的优胜者会在春节联欢会上获得奖励。
